  5. The good thing about the “terrible twos” is that you won’t have to go through the “troublesome threes”! Over the course of this phase you will see fabulous examples from Jack of independent thinking, strong advocacy for his own ideas, and boundless energy. All of these are wonderful traits that you would rather wait till 18 to see! Good luck.

  9. I’m so glad someone told me that was eggplant in the bowl. . . was quite disturbed trying to figure out what it was! Observation (not recommendations)on child rearing in Africa No.1: strap Jack to your back with a big, colourful cloth until he is four (very tightly so he can’t move his limbs). Just go about your everyday business as if he wasn’t even there.
    p.s. still refuse to believe ‘Jack’ and ‘terrible’ even go together

  11. rach – if only jack were not close to 30 pounds! one of many of his favorite new activities is screaming “NO” at the top of his lungs on the bus 🙂 all with a mischievious look in his eyes – some refer to this as a twinkle…
