weekends in the city – early spring

friday night movie night – 101 dalmations – what a great movie! jack wore the dalmation vest a la rosemary while watching the pups and ms. cruella – ‘scary’.

saturday – jack and dad went to playdate at the ica while i went to CRAFT BOSTON 🙂 what amazingly gorgeous jewelry and textiles and wood and ceramics and glass – most appealing to the 60+ group but still beautiful. i did pick up a pair of earrings from a gal from chicago – very cool. also got to hear the editor of American Craft talk about connections, innovation, and convergence in art, design, and craft – also very cool. met up with jack and ernesto at flour on fort point – after walking through the winter’s – oops i mean SPRING’S (!!!) – coldest wind – very cold out there on the water. warmed up at flour with a mocha and jack devoured a grilled cheese sandwich. at the ica – jack and dad watched an indian dance performance and jack was taken with the bells on the ankles.

they also played around with a fun video projection art thing on the floor – perhaps we’ll get a photo posted from that session.

big news of the week – 21 stars on the super star potty chart 🙂 this at the end of week 6

sunday – finally got to horton hears a who! lovely and jack was captivated and laughed long and hard. we went to see it at the loews common and walked back up newbury

– picked up my new purple(?) cynthia rowley glasses and went to the trident for lunch. we took some fun photos on the walk and ernesto will post them soon.
